Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has revealed England have been practicing a back three ahead of their clash with Germany.
Gareth Southgate could switch to the system in order to negate Germany's threatening fullbacks.
Speaking before Tuesday's clash at Wembley, Henderson said: "We've not just been working on it for this game, to be honest.
"We've worked on numerous formations for the past year or two. It is about what we are gonna do within the game.
"We still want to play with the intent, with the same composure, and being ruthless when we get into the final third – in whatever formation the manager decides to use."
