Liverpool skipper Gerrard set for Wolves clash

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is close to a return to the starting line-up and it could be as soon as Tuesday for the away clash with Wolves.

The Reds midfielder has been out of for the past two weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the FA Cup loss to Reading on January 13 but manager Rafael Benitez confirmed his skipper could be back for the Molineux fixture.

"He was training on Saturday and then a full training session on Sunday, and today was the same," said Benitez.

"Normally he's someone who, if available, can play. We'll decide tomorrow but I think he can be available."
