Liverpool are going cold on RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.
Liverpool are set to spend in the summer in an attempt to rebuild after a poor season, and could sign a centre-back in the window.
But The Athletic reports it's unlikely they will sign Gvardiol, with the Reds set to focus on other areas of the pitch for improvement.
Liverpool aren't short on depth in the centre-back department, with Virgil van Dijk still at the core of the team and Ibrahima Konate currently his preferred partner.
Gvardiol, who has made 76 appearances for Leipzig since joining from Dinamo Zagbreb in 2021, could still move in the summer, with several top sides preparing a bid.
Manchester City are leading the race for his signature and are prepared to make the Croatia star a priority target, while Chelsea are also chasing his services.
