Liverpool seek to shift out six youngsters in January

Liverpool management are ready to release a raft of young players in January.

The Liverpool Echo says there's plans to either loan or sell several of the club's younger prospects over the New Year.

Yasser Larouci, Caoimhin Kelleher, Liam Millar, Abdi Sharif, Sepp van den Berg and Joe Hardy could all be allowed to leave to find regular first-team football.

Rds boss Jurgen Klopp recently spoke about the importance Liverpool's talented academy have when it comes to the first team, but he also admitted that it's not a simple pathway.

"It's very important but there is still some distance between us and the U23s," he said,

"They cannot play exactly as we do for many reasons.

"The boys know before they arrive for our training what we want them to do.

"Those that have come up so far have been incredible.

"Nat [Phillips] and Rhys [Williams] played an excellent game. Curtis [Jones] is the best example. We are blessed with a lot of talent."
