Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard does not believe Real Madrid will show any fear on Wednesday night.
The Reds host the Spanish giants at Anfield in Group B of the Champions League with Carlo Ancelotti's team coming to Merseyside having scored seven goals in two European fixtures thus far.
Gerrard is well aware that reigning European champions Madrid are in brilliant form with a further 30 goals in eight La Liga outings and suggests that they may not be too worried when they take to the pitch against Gerrard and his teammates.
"We are new back in the Champions League, we have only had a couple of games back in so I am not sure Real Madrid will come with any fear, I think they will come in full of confidence," he said.
"I am not sure there are many opponents Real worry about facing at the moment but for us this is a fantastic challenge, one we have worked very hard for.
"We are progressing as a team, we are moving forward and trying to improve."
Liverpool currently sit third in their group with three points from two matches, equal with second-placed FC Basel, and three behind Real Madrid.
