Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher feels that players in the England national team should not be holed up in their hotel rooms at big tournaments.
The Reds veteran, who has represented the Three Lions on 38 occasions, says that manager Fabio Capello's rules of keeping the players locked away in between games is a bad way to handle things.
"You stay in a hotel all day but you are at a World Cup for a long time and should be able to experience different things," Carragher told BBC Radio 5 live.
"I wouldn't want players holed up. Take away the boredom, embrace the country we are in more. You never see anything."
