Liverpool have been rocked after Sergi Canos rejected a new contract offer.

ESPN says Liverpool offered the Spanish midfielder a contract extension but the two parties cannot agree terms.

Canos, 19, is entering the final year of his Anfield deal but appears destined to leave after snubbing their latest proposal.

The midfielder impressed on loan at Brentford this season and was handed his Liverpool debut in their penultimate match of the campaign.

It is understood the £4m-rated winger has now told the club he wants to leave after his contract negotiations hit an impasse, says the Daily Star.
