Liverpool are joining the battle for want-away PSV Eindhoven left-back Carlos Salcido.
The Mirror says Hodgson needs two left-backs to replace Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio and is said to be interested Mexican World Cup defender Salcido.
Salcido is also the subject of a £2 million offer from Wigan Athletic.
