Fulham summer signing Lauri Dalla Valle is aiming to kickstart his career at Craven Cottage.
Dalla Valle arrived from Liverpool as part of Paul Konchesky's move to Anfield.
"True, Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs, but at Fulham the people are a lot closer," the Finn told fulhamfc.com.
"From the First Team through to the Development Squad and down to the Academy there are strong links and everyone is working together to move the Club forward. That is a good thing for everybody. Sometimes at Liverpool that wasn't always the way. It got to the point where I had to be realistic about my future.
"For me, the path to the Liverpool first team was very difficult. I was competing against a lot of players, even in the reserves. It was tough because no matter how well you played or how hard you trained, the chances were slim. But Fulham offered me the chance to further my career. From day one I have had a good feeling about this Club and hopefully I can show what I can do."
