Liverpool are readying a January offer for Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde.

AS says Liverpool are ready to "try again" to lure midfielder Valverde away from Real Madrid.

In a deadline day scramble, due to injuries, Liverpool brought in Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus, but reports suggested the Reds wanted to sign Madrid man Valverde.

Liverpool were willing to part with £85 million in order to add the Uruguayan midfielder to their ranks, but the sale of Casemiro to Manchester United meant Madrid were unwilling to part with Valverde.

It is claimed Liverpool will try to sign Valverde again next summer with midfield additions needed at Anfield.

Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham is regarded as Liverpool's midfield transfer priority for 2023.
