Liverpool are ready to make a move for Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule, according to ClubCall.

The Germany U21 defender, who made 33 league appearances in the recently concluded season, has impressed with his performances for his club and is said to be on the top of Jurgen Klopp's summer wish-list.

The 20-year-old could be a second defensive arrival at Anfield from the Bundesliga this summer as the Reds have already agreed on a deal for Schalke defender Joel Matip.

Sule could be brought in as a direct replacement for Martin Skrtel who is expected to leave the Merseyside club this off-season.
