Liverpool are ready to hand Naby Keita a new contract.

The Guinea international finished the season superbly for the Reds after finally getting over long-term injury.

The Athletic says Keita has impressed management and a new deal is being drawn up.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was delighted with the midfielder's form and is convinced there's much more to come.

Keita, 27, is currently tied to the Reds until 2023.
