Liverpool have given striker Fabio Borini a 48-hour deadline to accept Fiorentina's transfer offer or risk the deal being abandoned.
Italian publication Tutto Mercato is reporting Liverpool have issued the ultimatum in an effort to push through a deal.
It is understood Borini has started negotiating personal terms with the Serie A club and a deal should be completed within the designated timeframe.
Borini has been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield following the summer arrivals of Christian Benteke, Roberto Frimino and Divock Origi.
