Liverpool pull out of race for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner

Liverpool have pulled out of the race for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

The Mirror says the Reds have pulled out of the transfer race to sign Werner.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the German, who has scored 27 goals in 36 games this season, since the January transfer window.

And the 24-year-old is keen on a move to Anfield, even snubbing Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

But the German is no longer in the summer transfer plans at Anfield because of coronavirus.

The disease has seen Premier League sides lose out on millions in matchday revenue.

And even Liverpool will have to cut their spending in the transfer window due to the reduced income.
