Liverpool prospect Toni Silva eyeing Carling Cup breakthrough

Exciting Liverpool prospect Toni Silva is eyeing Carling Cup action this season.

Reds management are expecting big things from the Portuguese whizkid.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Just looking at the pre-season, you could see two or three young players such as Raheem (Sterling) and Suso playing in the first-team.

"It's a great incentive for players in the reserves and the Academy. I'd love to have the chance to play in the Carling Cup or even be on the bench - we will have to see."

Toni revealed among his heroes is Manchester United star Nani.

He added: "I liked Figo, but he has retired now. Nani, Simao and Quaresma are good too."
