Liverpool youngster Brooks Lennon is set to join MLS side Real Salt Lake on a permanent deal, according to reports from Goal.

Lennon joined Real Salt Lake from Liverpool on a loan deal earlier this year and the youngster has impressed in the United States by scoring three goals as well as providing four assists, which proved to be crucial to his side's strong finish to the campaign.

However, Lennon's contract with Liverpool is set to expire in 2018.

And with the 20-year-old failing to secure a work-permit in the United Kingdom, claims are being made that the attacker is now set to join Real Salt Lake on a permanent basis.
