Liverpool prepared to sell Xherdan Shaqiri, but...

Liverpool are prepared to sell Xherdan Shaqiri - but would prefer to wait until the summer.

The Liverpool Echo says Shaqiri has also struggled for minutes this season – partly through injury – and has therefore been linked with a move away.

Liverpool are reportedly open to selling him, though his contract still runs until 2023.

However, they won't be offloading him in January, and will hold onto him until the summer at least.

Diogo Jota's recent injury has provided him with a potential route into the side, and manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be unwilling to offload Shaqiri due to his role as a solid backup.
