Liverpool are weighing up the next move for Sepp van den Berg.

The Liverpool Echo says Van den Berg shone when on loan at Championship side Preston North End in the second half of the season, making 16 appearances.

The 19-year-old, a centre-back by trade, starred primarily at right-back before ending the campaign in a right wing-back role.

And Preston have been so impressed with the young Dutchman they have already contacted Liverpool regards taking him back for another loan spell next term.

There are, though, plenty of suitors for Van den Berg, with a number of other Championship clubs having registered an interest in his services.
