Liverpool ponder swap bid for RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi

Liverpool are considering a swap bid for RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi.

Sky Deutschland says the forward is widely expected to leave Salzburg before the start of next season and is reportedly on Liverpool's radar ahead of the January transfer window.

The Reds could be forced to shell out around £34million to secure Adeyemi's signature.

However, a player-plus-cash deal involving Divock Origi could prove to be a shrewd option for Liverpool if they decide to act on their interest in the Salzburg man, reports the Daily Express.

Origi has found himself kicking around on the bench for the majority of his Anfield career and looks set to leave the club at the end of the season.

He will be out of contract in the summer, but at only 26 years of age, it could be argued that his best years are still ahead of him.
