Liverpool have emerged as serious contenders to sign Saul Niguez.

The Reds are searching for a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, who has joined PSG on a free transfer.

Atletico Madrid are in advanced negotiations to sign Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, another named linked with Liverpool.

La Razon says an offer from Liverpool for Spain international Saul could help fund their move for De Paul.

The 26-year-old would like to test his quality in the Premier League, although he would not be opposed to staying with Los Colchoneros.

Saul isn't the only option for Jurgen Klopp however, with the club also looking at Christoph Baumgartner, Florian Neuhaus, Yves Bissouma and Ryan Gravenberch.
