Liverpool are in talks with Reading defender Alex Pearce.

Pearce is available on a Bosman transfer as he comes off contract with the Riyals.

The Daily Star says Pearce, 24, has talked to Liverpool after turning down a new £20,000-a-week deal from the Royals.
