Liverpool have opened talks for RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi.

Sky Deutschland says Ademeyi, 20, has been a long-term target for the Reds as Jurgen Klopp looks to continue to bolster his side.

The Germany international, who is a regular for both club and country, has amassed an incredible 45 domestic goals and 32 assists in 123 first-team appearances after a sensational career at youth level.

Ademeyi has netted 16 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga in just 24 appearances so far this campaign, so it is clear why some of Europe's heavyweights are running the rule over the talented star.

He opened his international account with a goal against Armenia in a World Cup qualifier last September.

It has been reported a fee in the region of £35million would be enough to secure the services of the Munich-born forward.
