Liverpool were unsuccessful in a bid to try and sell more tickets to Manchester United away supporters at Anfield.
The club wanted to sell tickets to supporters in the "seat kills" parts of the away section of the ground.
But these seats are deliberately left empty to ensure the crowd does not get to an unsafe level.
They are only used during games against united, not even for the Merseyside derby against Everton.
Per the Liverpool Echo, the Reds had a request turned down by the Liverpool City Council to sell some of those "seat kills" to United supporters.
