Liverpool No2 Pep Lijnders has offered an update to Divock Origi's fitness.

Origi will miss Liverpool's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Leicester City.

The forward has not featured for the Reds since scoring the winner to beat AC Milan at San Siro on December 7.

And Lijnders confirmed that Origi is not yet ready to return.

The assistant manager said: "He is still not training with the team so we will miss him."
