Gomez featured in the 0-0 draw with Germany at Wembley.
The Reds will now have to pay Charlton £250,000 after Gomez made his England debut.
Due to a clause in his Anfield contract, Liverpool will have to shell out to the League one club.
Gomez moved to Liverpool in 2015 in a £3.5million deal.
Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino says he's happily settled at Anfield and in the city.
As well as enjoying his work on the pitch, Firmino is content with his life off it, too.
“I'm very happy and it's very gratifying coming to a huge club like Liverpool and living in this lovely city," he stated.
“The supporters are fantastic. I've never had problems with them and I hope that carries on for the rest of my time here."
