Liverpool are showing a serious interest in Jeremy Doku from Rennes.

The Anfield club are keen to add another attacker to refreshen up their front line, especially if Xherdan Shaqiri departs this summer.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are the 'European superpower' who want to sign the 19-year-old for roughly €50 million.

The issue is that Liverpool can only afford such a fee if they sell two or three first team players in the coming weeks.

A fire sale, which includes the likes of Shaqiri, may be required to bring the talented Doku to the club before August 31st.
