Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum tells Klopp: Schedule? What's there to complain about?

Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum was pleased with victory over Champions League opponents Ajax.

The Reds won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Curtis Jones.

Wijnaldum later said: "We knew that Ajax has a very good football team and it would be tough. A match against Ajax is not an easy one. It makes it even better that we were able to win the match.

"I think Ajax has played two very good matches, but of course you can see that we are very mature. I think that's why we won the games."

Wijnaldum was also asked about the schedule, which has drawn the ire of manager Jurgen Klopp.

But he told SB6: “I really have nothing to complain about. I am blessed to stay fit during this period.

“I hope I can last until the end of the season. That will be very difficult, but I have faith in it. At the moment it is really only playing games and resting. There is not really any training because there is not much time for it."
