Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum isn't surprised by Rhian Brewster's preseason form.

Brewster has been given two opportunities so far during the Reds training camp, playing just 75 minutes but managing to score three times.

Speaking following Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Salzburg, in which Brewster scored both goals in a late comeback, Wijnaldum told the club's official website: "I'm not 'impressed', because I know already which kind of quality he has.

"We trained together for a few years and he showed also in training that his finishing is unbelievable, so I'm not really impressed!"

Wijnaldum added: "Now we have the fixtures we all know it's going to be a really difficult season with a lot of games, so a lot of players will play a lot of games.

"So if you have a lot of players who can bring quality to the pitch, it makes it even better for the team.

"We are really happy that the guys who came in, the young players, made the difference today."
