Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted his admiration for Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.

The England international has been reinvented as a central midfielder under Jurgen Klopp.

And he's cited City man De Bruyne as someone he looks up to.

Asked which midfielders he admires, he told The Times: “Steven Gerrard would have been my ideal midfield general, growing up.

"It's a bit more specific now but Kevin De Bruyne does it really, really well."
