Raul Meireles has no regrets signing with Liverpool.

Meireles was once linked with a switch to Manchester United - but he's in no doubt moving to Liverpool was the right decision.

"Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world," he told liverpoolfc.tv. "They still have a good team, they made it clear they wanted me and I am happy to have the chance to play for them.

"The manager said to me he wanted me to play in all three positions in central midfield, and for me that was important."
