Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic says he wasn't short of offers over the summer.
Grujic returned to Hertha Berlin on-loan after last season's success.
But he revealed to BILD that Werder Bremen were particularly keen: "They wanted to pick me up in Belgrade, show me the stadium and facilities. I said I could come - but just to look at the city. I had already chosen Hertha, so I preferred to spend the last few days with my family in Belgrade.
"Then I came to Berlin and signed. A great feeling."
And Eintracht Frankfurt also lobbied vigorously for the 23-year-old.
"(Mijat) Gacinovic and (Filip) Kostic just told me that their coach likes me and that I would fit into the team. The interest was flattering me, but I said in April that I want to stay in Berlin."
