Lucas Leiva has reportedly asked Liverpool for a day to mull over his proposed shift to Galatasaray.
Reports on Tuesday suggested that the Brazilian midfielder was set to make a decision on a potential summer move to Turkey by Tuesday night.
Galatasaray board member Levent Nazifoglu said: "We've spoken personally with Lucas Leiva.
"He asked for one more day. The situation will be clearer by tonight."
It is believed that Lucas, 29, has not agitated for a move away from Anfield but on the flip side, would welcome regular game time which he is unlikely to receive from Jurgen Klopp.
