Liverpool midfielder Fabinho says they threw everything they had for the Champions League win over Barcelona.

Fabinho was superb for the 4-0 win as the Reds reached the final 4-3 on aggregate.

He told RMC: "We played for our life on the ground. When we were tired, we could still find strength to recover, to win the ball. The whole team defended like dogs, crazy people.

"(Lionel) Messi, I tried to close the space and make sure the ball did not get to him. Because we know he can do incredible things when the ball arrives. I'm happy with my performance, but the key was the collective."
