Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones adds to rep with international gong

The reputation of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones continues to grow.

Jones was named player of the tournament after netting the winner for England U18s in their 3-2 win over Mexico in the UAE Sports Chain Cup in Dubai on Sunday.

The 18-year-old struck in the 70th minute to seal second place for the Young Lions in the four-team tournament.

It continues an impressive season for Jones, who has moved up to the Liverpool under-23s and made his full debut for the first team in the FA Cup third round tie at Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.

The Liverpool-born midfielder played the first half of England's opening 4-1 win over Japan on Wednesday, with Reds teammate Bobby Duncan coming off the bench to create his team's final goal.
