Stoke City attacker Xherdan Shaqiri is set for a Liverpool medical on Friday.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool have agreed a £13.75million deal with Stoke for Shaqiri.

The Swiss international also had interest from Lazio but was eager to link up with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Shaqiri is due to undergo a medical on Friday and will provide competition for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah while Alex Oxlade Chamberlain continues his recovery from ligament damage.

The Potters are resigned to him moving this summer and they want the business wrapped up quickly.
