Liverpool manager Klopp planning to shake-up his defence

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to drastically revamp his defence.

The German knows that his team cannot win trophies conceding as many goals as they did this season.

Per Sport1, Klopp is targeting Barcelona star Jules Kounde, who wants to play in central defense and not at right back next season.

The source adds that if Klopp can make a move for Chelsea's Mason Mount, he would sell veteran Joel Matip to make room in his squad.

The German coach still believes in Virgil Van Dijk as his key defender, but wants to find more depth alongside the Dutch veteran.

Ibrahima Konate is presently the first choice partner for Van Dijk, but he has been absent through injury at various stages of this season.
