Liverpool manager Klopp optimistic over Milner injury

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is optimistic about the fitness of James Milner.

The vice-captain found himself out of the Community Shield game against Manchester City.

He was kept out of the team due to a muscle problem.

However, Klopp believes that Milner will be back in training and ready for their game against Norwich City at Anfield on Friday night.

He said to the club's official website on whether Milner would be ready: "I would say yes.

"It was a minor muscle injury. I would say he can probably train tomorrow, although I am not 100 per cent sure.

"For today it did not work out, but I think by at least Tuesday he can train."
