Liverpool manager Klopp downplays fears over Keita injury

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that midfielder Naby Keita's injury is not as bad as first feared.

The midfielder came off at half-time in the 3-0 success at Carrow Road against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Despite the Reds picking up a comfortable win through a Takumi Minamino brace and Divock Origi strike, there was some concern about Keita among fans.

On the Keita injury, Klopp said post-game, via the Liverpool Echo: "At half-time we had to change because Naby had kicked the grass, and it was a little uncomfortable, but we are not too concerned.

"With Curtis [Jones] in the half-space and Tyler Morton as a No.6, it looked much more natural immediately.

"The boys passed quicker and smarter, [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain played a little bit higher on the left wing,

"Taki Minamino a bit more in the centre in the half-spaces so Ox could use his speed and Taki connected the game with Tyler and Curtis so it was all good.

"We scored the second and third goal and controlled the game."
