Liverpool management send Thiago to second specialist

Liverpool management are hoping for a boost regarding Thiago Alcantara's injury recovery.

A pulled hamstring had the midfielder initially facing six weeks on the sidelines.

Thiago was replaced by Harvey Elliott in the 51st minute of Liverpool's opening day 2-2 draw with Fulham after picking up a hamstring strain.

However, the Daily Express says Liverpool have now sent Thiago to see a second specialist after initial tests proved inconclusive in diagnosing the extent of the injury.

Inside Liverpool, there is hope the diagnosis could end up being reduced to around three-four weeks instead.
