Liverpool, Man Utd target Villa fires agent

Liverpool and Manchester United are on alert as word from Spain is that Valencia star David Villa has fired his agent.

Reports suggest that the Spain international has let agent Jose Luis Tamargo go after failing to get him a summer transfer and it seems increasingly likely that Villa will not be a Valencia player come January.

The 27-year old, £30million-rated striker is being closely monitored by Manchester United and has also been linked with Liverpool as well as Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona and the fact that Valencia are in enormous financial trouble indicates that a sale is a highly likely scenario.
