Liverpool, Man Utd left chasing West Ham star Rice after Chelsea decision

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly leading the chase to sign Declan Rice.

The West Ham midfielder has become a wanted commodity after establishing himself as a star in east London.

Chelsea have long been linked with Rice, who used to play for the club and has a close relationship with Mason Mount.

But the Blues are no longer interested in Rice after Frank Lampard's sacking, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry, leaving Liverpool and United as the two frontrunners.

McGarry said on the Transfer Window Podcast: "He is no longer on the transfer list of recruitment possibilities for the Stamford Bridge club, but he has certainly roused the interest of Liverpool and Manchester United.

"Both of whom have expressed interest to Rice's agent as we understand and they have asked to be kept informed of any offers made for the England international."
