Liverpool, Man City boost as Alaba terms too rich for Barcelona, Real Madrid

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba's personal demands are set to price him out of a move to Spain.

After a new contract offer was withdrawn this week by Bayern, Alaba is set to be sold in January.

Alaba has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, but his €8m-a-year demands are too rich for both Spanish giants, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Even if Bayern were to waive a fee for his departure, Alaba's terms would be too much for Barca and Real.

Instead, the Premier League is looming as a more likely destination, where suitors Liverpool and Manchester City would be willing to match his contract demands.
