Liverpool, Man City alerted as Bayern Munich chief Salihamidzic says: We won't go back to Alaba

Bayern Munich sports chief Hasan Salihamidzic has ruled out returning to the negotiating table with David Alaba.

With his current deal due to expire in June, it was announced this week that Bayern had withdrawn their latest contract offer made to Alaba.

And with Liverpool and Manchester City keen, Salihamidzic told Sky Deutschland: "Alaba? I don't know if we will still be able to find a common solution.

"Now we have to deal with the reality, which is that David may leave. We have decided to withdraw our offer, we will not make any more proposals to the player. He is a prominent element of our squad, he has a great value for us and we all appreciate him.

"But we are all professionals. When you lose such a champion on a free transfer, it is always the worst case."
