Liverpool have ruled out competing for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

The former Reds star has been transfer listed by Barca this week as they seek raise transfer funds with fringe player sales.

Marca reports a host of clubs including Liverpool have been linked with acquiring the Brazilian playmaker.

But the Reds are not interested in re-signing Coutinho.

The 27-year-old made the £142million move to Spain in 2018, but endured a difficult first full season with the La Liga winners.

He found his scoring form for Brazil on Friday as he scored a brace in their Copa America win over Bolivia.
