Liverpool have made an offer for Fluminense teenage goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga.
The Liverpool Echo says a proposal was recently submitted for the 17-year-old and is likely to be accepted by the Brazilian club.
Fluminese see great potential in the young shot-stopper and a decision over any deal is set to be made by their board after Liverpool made their interest known early in his development.
Pitaluga is training with the first-team and financial details over the deal have not been revealed. He holds a German passport.
The youngster is currently is the fourth goalkeeper option for Fluminese coach Odair Hellmann with his age and lack of experience being a factor in that regard.
