Liverpool have made new contracts for Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker a priority.

The Independent says the Reds' priority is to tie down 28-year-old Van Dijk and 27-year-old Alisson to lucrative new long-term deals.

It is understood that the pair are both wanting to extend their contracts at Anfield following their arrivals two years ago.

Fellow defensive team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Joe Gomez have all signed new deals in the last 13 months.
