Liverpool have made a move for hard-running Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez.

A revelation for Real in their run to the Champions League semifinals this season, Lucas' progress has impressed Liverpool chiefs, including manager Jurgen Klopp.

Diario Gol says Liverpool have made contact with Lucas' minders to register their interest and schedule talks over personal terms.

Lucas has been kept up to speed on the interest and has told his closest teammates inside the Real locker room of the Reds' approach.

While a genuine Madridista and proud of his role in Real's success in the Zinedine Zidane era, Lucas has told his coach he wants to be playing more regularly - a request which has also been relayed to Liverpool intermediaries.
