Liverpool are being linked with Sampdoria defender Omar Colley.

The Liverpool Echo says the Reds have received a boost in their reported boost of Sampdoria defender Colley, who currently has a £10.8m release clause.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the centre-back in recent months, as have Celtic.

The Hoops reportedly had a bid in the region of £10m for the player rejected by the Serie A side over the summer – a deal which would have made him Celtic's record signing.

And now according to Sky Sports, the Italian club are now willing to sell Colley for less than their previous valuation as he enters the final year of his contract in the summer.
