Football Direct News is reporting that Arsenal have given Liverpool a clear path to go after Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez.
It had become apparent that both the Gunners and the Reds were set to do battle for the signature of the Chilean winger but it is now believed that the north Londoners have pulled out of the race.
The report suggests that Arsenal are only keen on Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler and will therefore leave Sanchez to Liverpool.
The Anfield club have reportedly made a £23million bid for Sanchez who is being heavily linked with a Camp Nou exit following the appointment of Luis Enrique as Barca's new manager.
