Liverpool legend Ian St John has branded Javier Mascherano a "dog".
Mascherano has joined Barcelona in an £18million deal after forcing through his departure from Anfield by refusing to play for the Reds in the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City on Monday.
Now St John has claimed Mascherano will not be missed on Merseyside.
St John said: "Mascherano has never been my favourite player. He always had a scowl on his face.
"I didn't enjoy watching him. He was a little dog, getting in there, biting and winning tackles, not the pleasant side of the game."
